Greetings from the staff and laity of First United Methodist Church in Sherman, Texas.  Our church will soon celebrate 150 years of ministry in our community.  As you explore these web pages you will see we offer a full and complete program for every age.  One of the distinctive characteristics of our church is that we do a lot to help those in our community. 

First Church with First Baptist founded "Great Days of Service" that has just completed our thirteenth summer of service.  The Service Academy for Youth was established by and is operated by First Church.  So as you go through these pages of information I hope you sense our commitment to making a difference in our community.  I also hope that you will sense the warmth that awaits those who attend.
